FADE IN:
INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
A modern living room, shades half drawn on a picture window. A piano sits in the corner. MITCHELL, a young high school kid, skinny and somewhat dopey, dressed up, worn out and filthy as if he'd been running all night, face dirty and a little bloody, is on the phone pacing nervously in front of an old suitcase.
He opens a crack in the drapes, peers out the window, looks both directions. Flips his phone closed, pulls the drapes closed.
He bends down to open the suitcase, checks the inside, closes it tight.
He places it in the top of the hall closet. Closes the door, leaves the house.
EXT. STREET - DAY
An ordinary house in the middle of an ordinary neighborhood. A car is in the driveway. Mitchell walks out. Locks the door, looks both ways.
He gets in the car and PEELS out of the driveway.
Another car pulls up slowly, parks in front of the house. Two gang members, ANDREW and BEN, dressed in track suits, get out, casually approach the house. They pick the locks on the door, enter the house.
INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
The gang members enter the house, flip chairs, move couches, open drawers...
Ben keeps an eye out the window while Andrew searches the rest of the house. Andrew re-enters the living room, looks in the entry closet. He finds something up high. He waves Ben over to help. The two lift the suitcase down from the closet.
The front door kicks open, a silhouette of JEFF, dressed in all white, stands at the door holding a bat. The word RABBA is painted on the bat in blood.
Jeff makes a move towards them, the two throw the suitcase at Jeff, and run through the other way.
Jeff picks up the suitcase, moves into the other end of the room, places the suitcase and his bat next to the piano, sits and begins to play.
EXT. STREET - DAY
Mitchell's car returns in the driveway. He gets out, notices his door is open. Piano music is coming from inside. He slowly approaches the door. He peers inside to get a glimpse of who is playing piano.
The angle is bad. He slowly opens the screen door to get a better look.
INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
Mitchell's head comes into the doorway. Jeff does not seem to notice him. Mitchell sees his suitcase next to the piano. He grabs a metal cross statue from the bookcase. Slowly he moves towards Jeff. He holds the cross up to strike him.
Jeff SLAMS the piano closed, grabs his bat and pushes the barrel in Mitchell's face.
Mitchell drops his weapon, drops to his knees, hangs his head, looking at the ground squeezing his eyes closed.
Jeff takes a swing. Mitchell falls. Jeff beats him with the bat on the floor.
Jeff picks up the suitcase. Walks to the door. Looks back at Mitchell's bloody body, exits the house.
